Hi navjot singh

thanks for asking the query on career360,actually BE in civil is graduate level program which you can do directly after completing HSC or 10+2,student have to appear to state/national/institute level entrance exam through he/she can get admitted for institution it is theory oriented but no pratical labs sessions are not provided for BE

in B.tech, same criteria to admit into institution but pratical lab sessions and industrial trip and projects are  given btech. so i am suggesting you to take the B.tech in civil engineering.i think this information will help you to move on with your carreer

Hi aspirant

thanks for asking your query ,you should go with btech in civil engineering because btech is more practical oriented than BE ,in btech more knowledge would be there in comparison to BE .BE is more theory oriented which would not suffice you.

therefore go with btech in civil engineering

Hello navjot.

Be is bachelor of engineering & b.tech is bachelor of technology.

BE is more knowledge oriented course & b.tech is more practical application course

BE being more Knowledge oriented course ciricucurris not frequently updated & in b.tech as it is still oriented ciriculum update is mandatory.

Colleges which have BE course - Bits pilani , Anna University Chennai , NSIT etc & colleges which have b.tech courses are IITs,NITs, SRM University, VIT etc.

In BE internships and company visits are comparetively less required & in b.tech internships and company visits are a must.

However AICTE has declared both the courses are of equal value so you can opt for any one.

Hope this help. BEST WISHES.

Hello aspirant,

The university which usually offers degrees in various fields such as arts, business and science along with engineering names the degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering ). While coming to B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology), institutes that offer only the professional courses in engineering name the program as B.Tech . Thus the name varies only according to the institution. Both B.E and B.Tech in Civil Engineering are the same.

Hope this will be helpful..
