Should I drop one year after graduation to prepare for exams like JAM, JNU-CEEB, BHU, etc.? Is there any loss because of dropping one year?

Hi Sakshi,Dropp Dropping for any competitive exam is Good only when you are sure that you would clear the exams next year with a good rank.Actually, Dropping for one year gives you the perspective to attain knowledge in a very explanatory way as you understand each and every topic with time. But Dropping is not always good as it may lead to pressure form the family, taunts, everyday tantrums.I will only suggest you to drop if you are damn sure about your success otherwise it is not worth to waste one year over a thing you are not sure about.

How can I become sure of that? :'( I just want to try these exams at my best so that I won't regret later but because of my graduation studies, I am not able to do these preparations because biotech is tough so it needs time. So I thought about giving my whole time to these exams by dropping an year.. once! What you think?

You can drop for the biotechnology as it is very important to give attention to that subject. You should make a proper time table for the year in which you dropping. This will make you sure that you are ready for the exam.Go for it! Don't lose your self confidence. All the best.

Hi Sakshi,

Taking a drop year is not as negative as it sounds. In fact, from my personal experience, I can tell that if you feel you need it, then you should definitely go for it. Specially since you are planning to sit for other exams and these entrances are pretty tough, I would advice that if you feel the need to sit and prepare for them for the 2020 intake, that’s a good decision because you will have ample time to cope up with the syllabus as well as this extra year will give you time to carefully consider your future options.

Therefore, as a friend, I’ll tell that you will not lose anything if you are thinking about it that way rather, if you really feel that you will be better prepared after finishing your graduation, then please do so and take this gap year. It is much needed.
