Yes it worths a lot.You can good colleges like Galgotias engineering college,GL BAJAJ through UPSEE easily as level of questions asked in this exam is comparatively a lot easier when compared to jee mains. And even you can get admission in government colleges if you have a domicile certificate of UP which you can't get through jee.
But i will suggest you to apoear for both exams to have an additional option if one exam goes wrong.
Good luck.
Hi Gourav
I would advice you to not compare UPSEE and JEE Main exam. Since UPSEE is an entrance exam at State level and some of very good UP colleges offer admission based on it, whereas, JEE Main is a national level entrance exam offering admission to central institutes like NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, IITs (after clearing JEE Advanced).
The level of JEE Main is very different from UPSEE. It is relatively tough to get into central institutes.
It is always advisable to keep an alternative option. So, appear in both JEE Main and UPSEE. This will help you have opportunity for admission and not risking one year.
