hello

IIT ROORKEE is widely known for it's metallurgy branch. The overall average salary for metallurgy is 7.5 lacks per annum. The faculty provides quality teaching and  the infrastructure is also very good.

IIT GOA

the first placement would be conducted from 2020 as it is established in 2016. It's faculty is also not very good compared to IIT ROORKEE.

So according to me you should go for metallurgy in IIT ROORKEE over electrical engineering in IIT GOA.

Dear aspirant,

B.tech Electrical Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology Goa has higher JEE Advanced cutoff and lower fess as compared to that of IIT Goa B.tech electrical engineering. But IIT Goa is relatively new and lack proper campus and  experienced faculties.

  • Fees
  1. IIT Roorkee- INR 8.55lacs
  2. IIT Goa- INR 8.39 lacs
  • Placements
  1. IIT Roorkee- Average package is of INR 25 Lacs . Adani, Birla group, Reliance, ONGC and other companies come for placements. Students of metallurgical engineering got placed in  Jindal Powers and other companies. Overall career development is done. Reliance Power, ONGC, Jindal, Adani, Birla, NTPC, etc. are major recruiting agencies for the metallurgical branch.
  2. IIT Goa-  The first placement session will be conducted in 2020.

Hello, if you have interest in a specific branch then you can go with that branch otherwise I would recommend you to go with IIT Roorkee Metallurgy as it comes under top IIT of India, is highly ranked and placement wise, infrastructure wise it is a very good option.

On the basis of Nirf ranking it is better than IIT Goa and is a old IIT.

All the best.
Hope this will help you.
