National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is considered best for all its offered courses, including Accessory Design. It is well-known for offering vast exposure to students along with excellent placement opportunities. Moreover, this statutory institute comes under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. There is no need to drop a year for NID. You can definitely join NIFT. But take the final decision after considering some basic factors like whether you will be required you relocate in case you crack NID DAT (B.Des. is only offered at its Ahmadabad campus), fee structure, placement opportunities, and most importantly your area of interest. Hope it helps.
