Hello,

Choosing your branch should be completely your individual choice. If you are interested in Metallurgical engineering, you can choose metallurgical engineering at IIT Kharagpur, but if you are interested in technical stuff like coding, you can choose CSE at NIT Patna. Metallurgical engineering at IIT Kharagpur is very good in terms of academics, placements, opportunities etc. CSE at NIT Patna is good too because of high demand of CSE. CSE also provides you a wide range of opportunities and scope. Choose your branch and college considering all the factors and specially your field of interest.

I hope it helps.

Hey Tanya,

If you ask for an opinion, I'd suggest you first deicide where your interest lies. If you really want to join B.Tech In Computer Science and Engineering, you should keep the colleges in descending order of your priority keeping the department constant. Hope that helps.

Best of luck.
