Should i migrate to the not so good colleges of du for bcom hons?
Hello Haripriya
Some may have different opinion.
DU is never about the degree it offers but it is all about the exposure it provides in terms of co-curricular opportunities, interpersonal skills and seeking what career suits your passion.
Economics(hons) and BCom(hons) are the two most coveted courses to pursue from DU. The sky-rocketing cutoff lists are a testimony to the same.
It doesn't matter whether you land up in SRCC or a not so known south campus college of DU, it will always pay you high in terms of experience and skills when you graduate after three years.
BCom(hons) in DU is a rigorous course. It adds up excellent value to the CV.
More than college what matters is your course. You should always keep your course above the college. The faculty in every college of du is almost and atmost same so it would hardly matters if you even get an off campus college. Because at the end what would matter is the degree from du which will remain same being in any college of du and the ofcourse the course. The bcom programme hardly have any placements and scope when compared to bcom hons. Even if you're getting an off campus or not so good college of du still prefer it if you're getting your course.
Rest be your decision what course you want to prefer and pursue!
Hope this helps.
