Hi...
The eligibility criteria for bank PO exam is as follows-

2.Nationality- He/She should be an Indian.

There is no percentage criteria. You can apply for the Bank PO exam if you meet all the criteria above mentioned.

Yes, it's a good option to take up MBA after working as a bank PO for a few years if you want to grow. You'll get an advantage if you have a workex of 1-2 yrs in bank po. Only go for MBA after PO if you want to grow your self in private sector.

Hello,

First of all when it comes to eligibility criteria for banking exam, and I'm talking about probationary officer post there is no barrier in terms of belonging to any specific stream nor as such emphasis on aggregate , such as SBI/IBPS PO you can appear for these exams even belonging to being a biology graduate, however whether you should choose this field or not is more of a personal choice, and as far as your query goes for privatization of PSB and its aftermath on employees, then finance minister did point out this consideration, however quoting her only she has said that even if such a scenario comes employees of the respective bank will be safeguard in the form of pension, or they can be given opportunity to shift  to another PSB, if you get selected in banking job, then it's a full-time job, so you can pursue MBA in distance but to do the same through regular mode might not be possible, There are other career paths too which you can consider for example, pursue Master's Degree and do BEd, or else after MSc appear for CSIR NET, you can involve yourself in the field of research and teaching if that interests you and moreover based on the eligibility criteria of graduation you are eligible to appear for many exams such as UPSC, state PSCs, SSC CGL etc.
