Both the subjects are of equal significance, it is just a matter of separate career options. History and Political Science are the prime subjects of Arts. These subjects are a great source of knowledge as well as doors to several career opportunities.
As a student if you are confused about which subject to pursue ahead, prioritise your requirements and retrospect your subject of interest for your future.
if u r interested in POLITICAL AFFAIRS then go for political science. But if it is not about the latest political affairs then go for HISTORY. According to a survey done by TIMES INDIA ……
nowadays…. the ratio between political honours & HISTORY HONOURS stands for 55% and 45% respectively.

Dear Applicant,
I hope you are doing well.
Both programmes are good in their own way. Bachelor's degree will give you a round off knowledge of various things. A simple ba certificate may not give you a high value, as you will just be learning alot of different stuff in general. Were as in Honours you will be doing a specialization with 1 of the subjects. In doing specialization you get more knowledge in depth. If you want to go in the field of teaching it would be better if you have a specialization degree.
Hope this helps. All the best.
