Hi Muskan,
Chemistry Honours is the more preferred one by most candidates since it is a specialisation of one particular subject. You would notice that it's cutoffs are also more. An honours course syllabus would make you knowledgeable enough to crack the entrance exams for M.Sc., if that is what you're aiming for. Avenues for Chemistry graduates include teaching, jobs at chemical and pharmaceutical industries, researching at PSUs like DRDO, BARC etc. However, do try for DU since it is a central university and the fees would also be less. You can also try other government universities.
In case of B.Sc Physical Sciences- it would be like studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics every semester. You would not become a master in a particular subject, it is like being the jack of all. It is ideal for people who are not sure about their interests in one subject or have other plans in mind for their career, which have no link to the subject like Banking, HR, Civil Services etc. It would be a disadvantage if you want to go for Masters in one of the science subjects and the Honours student would have a lead in terms of knowledge required to crack the Pg entrance exam. However, it is not impossible. People do catch up with the Honours syllabus if they are sure of doing Masters in a particular subject.
However, if you're getting Chemistry Hons in a private university, I would advise you to go for B.Sc Physical Sciences at DU since you're also unsure of your interest. A degree from DU is always better.
All the best.
