Should I pursue CA with a regular college (B.com) or correspondence?
Hi Anoopa
It totally depends on your hard work, Time management , potential and dedication.
BCom in correspondence is mainly preferred by many because time management gets easy. You can easily devote required time to both courses. So doing BCom from correspondence is with CA can be a good option as you'll have sufficient time to prepare for both courses.
But also if you have to do CA , there's no Academic advantage of doing BCom from correspondence, doing it from correspondence is just for a name sake degree.
I would suggest you to pursue your CA with regular college beacuse Most of things you study in BCom is covered in CA. Also, if in case CA doesn't work out then you can go for MBA and have a good life . Bcom hardly takes time if you are a CA student beacuse BCom is a subset of CA. And also, in case you plan for further studies in India or abroad then reputed graduation degree is a must . And CA is not a graduation degree and is not recognised by any University , so having a reputed graduation degree can help you with secondary options as well .
Both regular and correspondence have their advantages and disadvantages
All you need to do is choose wisely, if you can manage your time efficiently and usually there is this problem of clashing of college classes and your IPCC classes So I think you can manage that by taking evening cllasses for IPCC.
Managing studies won't be tough , even if you choose college you won't be going regularly. So you can go on the days of your choice.skip some less important college classes.
This was my opinion, it's your choice which option will be more suitable for you. Think wisely and take a good decision. Think twice before taking any decision.
The most important thing is your ultimate goal.so if CA is your ultimate goal and if you think that regular college will put extra burden on you the you can go for correspondence but if you know your potential and you know that you'll manage, then go for regular college.
All the Best!!
