Should I pursue mbbs only from a top college to be a good doctor.

Persuing your mbbs degree from any medical college do matters.

For being a god doctor you must hold a degree from a approved medical college by MCI.

The quality of knowledge and skills you attained in your 5.5 years of course do plays an important role in your upcoming career.

Choose your on the basis of the quality of education  they will provide with lots of practice. Government and private colleges are not as much as sufficient criteria to decide the quality of skills they will provide  because government college are only better because of the low fees and more no of patients and a lot of competition among the students who have secured their position into that college.

You need not to persue your course only from top college  but you must try to persue it from a good,known and approved medical college

With only 66000 Medical seats out of which round 30,000 being Government Medical seats and 15 lakh students competing, the moral of the story is MBBS is a profession people vouch for. Choosing a top Medical College with a mineal score is not pissible because that goes to the top student without a doubt. Unlike Enginerring and IT Professions, MBBS and BDS are the only fields which do not need placements and infact they do not have placements. Unless you have scored exemplary marks, you cannot get into a top Medical College. What differentiates a college from Top or Bottom is its infrastructure, faculty and its teaching hospital. At the end of the day, the syllabus is the same and its only your approach to the illness that defines you as a good or bad doctor. And what you learn from books is really nothing. You can know a lot about Tennis elbow because Sachin Tendulkar has been diagnosed with it. But unless you really know about radial plexus and have studied anatomy and looked at a patient with Tennis elbow, no matter which college you have studied from, if someone asks what is Tennis Elbow, your answer still will be 'A condition with which Sachin Tendulkar suffered'. So it is more than a top college that makes onr a good or a bad doctor.
