Hello.
These books are very good for the preparation of JEE Mains and JEE Advance . But I personally advice you to do practice all the questions from those books that you have , whenever you have a confidence as well as time then you should move to other reference books for practice . Basically and most important you must have read NCERT books for these competitive exam.
Hello aspirant,
NCERT Books are only referred to for getting an idea about the syllabus. If you consider solving numerical from NCERT Physics book or the long answer questions, it is only going to aid you in your Board preparation and not for JEE Mains in the log run.
Halliday is a pretty advanced level book but of you wish to solve questions in the intermediate level, you can refer to HC Verma Volumes 1 and 2 for your reference. Overall, solving previous years' papers help too. You can try buying Arihant's guide in case you need more guidance.
Hope this helps you. All the best!
