Hello aspirant
97.57 is pretty good score ,why you want to take drop. You have not mentioned clearly what you want to do or reason for drop . Without knowing reason we won't be able to answer you correctly. However with 97.57 percentile you may have chances of getting admission to top IITs and NITs.

Hello aspirant,
To drop an year is your own decision as you have not scored that much to get an NITs, IIITs or GFTIs. According to cutoff marks, chances seems to be less to get these Colleges but there are other best Engineering colleges where you can apply to. Even you can go for state counselling like punjab, haryana, bihar, MP etc.
I am providing you the best private Engineering colleges
- Amity university
- Manipal Institute of Technology
- BITS,Pilani
- VIT,Velore
- SRM, Chennai

You get the admission in top colleges with this percentile .Your percentile is enough to get admission in top colleges.According to my opinion You don't do drop one more year. You give JEE main so you are eligible for the Jossa counselling,Do your JOSSA counselling and firstly fill those colleges in which you think to take admission. Josaa counselling is started from 6 Oct 2020.
