show that under thermal equilibrium laser action is not possible in visible region at room temperature. at what temperature the laser is possible and is at realizable???? (plz answer me soon. I have test tomorrow)

Hello candidate,

In the phenomenon of Laser action, the molecules of one atom cares excited to two other excited States and then returns back to a metastable state producing radiations which come out in the form of laser rays.

In this process, high amount of energy is generally required for exciting this atoms which is not possible under room temperature and the radiations cannot be seen in the visible region because they either get transmitted in the infrared region or the ultraviolet region.
