Since from this year IPU is taking admission through CLAT, will there still be 85% reservation for Delhi people in BALLB?

Hello Anchal Shah,

It is to be noted that :

  • 85% of total sanctioned seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region.
  • Candidates who have passed class 12 from any school/ institute in Delhi or from any college/institute affiliated from GGSIPU University fall under this category.
  • Seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s performance in IPU CET 2019.
  • 15% seats are reserved for the candidates outside Delhi which means the candidates who have passed their qualifying degree from any school/Institute outside Delhi.
  • For institutions located in Delhi/NCR, the division of seats will be done on the basis of Delhi and outside Delhi candidates for which the decision will be taken by NCTD.

The IPU university is taking admissions for the courses of Law through Common Law  Admission Test (CLAT) for people who are applying for particularly Under Graduate Course.

The national level law examination will be conducted in offline mode for the law aspirants to grab seats into two undergraduate law programmes on offer - BA LLB & BBA LLB. By conducting the law examination, IPU will be offering 1700 BA LLB and 660 BBA LLB seats.

THERE ARE A TOTAL OF 8 PARTICIPATING INSTITUTES.

IMPORTANT DATES :

1. APPLICATION FORM RELEASE : FIRST WEEK OF MARCH

2.END OF APLICATION DATE : END OF APRIL 2019

3.ISSUE OF ADMIT CARD : APRIL 22ND ,2019

4.EXAM DATE : 12TH MAY 2019

5.RESULT : LAST WEEK OF 2019

6.COUNSELLING DATE : END OF MAY

Candidates can fill the application fee through online payment modes - Credit/Debit/Internet-banking. After remitting the fee, candidates then need to finally submit the application form of IPU CET Law 2019.

CLAT 2019 Eligibility:

To be eligible for CLAT, the students must have secured:

(A) Forty five percent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII examination) in case of students belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.

(B) Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of students belonging to SC/ST categories.

Students who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2019 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT-2019 Offline examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, otherwise  they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.

CLAT 2019 will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on 12th May 2019.
