A student has to clear both JEE Mains Papers(1 & 2) and also achieve a decent rank in JEE Advanced(i.e. CML Rank) in order to be eligible for AAT . This is because your admission into colleges is purely based on your JEE Advanced Rank. Qualifying in AAT will make you further eligible for B.Arch/B.Des programs in govt. colleges. But still your JEE Advanced Rank is required for admission, as there is no score in AAT(just qualify/disqualify).
