With the introduction of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), the admissions for all the medical seats will be done based on the NEET rank of the candidate from the year 2017. There are around 20 medical colleges in Telangana with more than 2500 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) seats to be filled every year. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad is the Counseling Conducting Authority for admissions into all the government, private colleges and deemed institutions for the courses mentioned above (agricultural and medical stream).

After the counselling procedure for engineering stream is done, the colleges take the students in, for graduation.
