Hello Aspirant,
As per the eligibility to apply for IIT JAM Entrance exam for M.Sc in Physics, You should have Essential subjects in Bachelor's Degree in Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters. B.Tech (engineering) students can apply for IIT JAM as just need to have 55%, or
5.55 out of 10 aggregate marks in their qualifying degree.But for Master in Physics you must have studies Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters because this is essential subjects that you need to have in your Bachelor's Degree along with the minimum duration and you can only get into IITs or any institution through IIT JAM if you fit in above given criteria.
