  • Anxiety is the biggest threat to all sorts of success
  • what you will achieve is not only dependent on what you will study now but also what you have been studying all these years
  • understand 1 thing very clearly that MCQ examinations are not all about all you know but also about how much you can apply on the spot within a limited period of time confused between very closely related answers
  • concepts and common sense will help you much more than by heartened knowledge of any subject
  • first of all don't over stress yourself and try to understand which one is your strong subject out of physics, chemistry and biology and reserve that subject for the last since that will relax your mind
  • usually physics is a tough challenge for medical students and I would advise you to spend around 2 to 3 hours doing your physics during the afternoon when usually you will be able to dedicate more time for particular chapter without freaking out due to not having completed any syllabus since morning and also not dozing off at night
  • start the day with biology and end the day with chemistry dedicating around 2 to 3 hours and these subjects respectively also
  • try relaxing your mind by either meditating, or listening to songs or dedicating 1 hour in between your physics, chemistry and biology sessions to anything which you like to do which may be reading books, sleeping, playing or any other co-curricular activity which interests you
  • above all have confidence in yourself and keep giving mock MCQ examinations to strengthen upon your question selection and time management skills

Hey,

It's okay to get nervous before an exam that will help decide the future course of your life. But of course being nervous doesn't help you in any way and might even harm your preparations. I suggest that you take deep breaths now and consider following points.

For improving concentration, start with a subject or a topic you find immersive or you like the most. It will immediately help you to focus.

Take breaks to increase the efficiency. The average concentration span of human brain is about 40mins. So you can take a 10 min break for every 45mins of reading. It will help your brain to organise and thus retain the information.

Organise your syllabus. Try to complete your syllabus once as soon as possible. Go through untouched topics for once now from NCERT.

Once you have been through your entire syllabus once, go for the  previous year papers. It is really important that you solve as many papers as you can and always in the time limit. Then check yourself and analyse the questions that you got negative score. Probably these topics need to get revised again in a better way.

You can also join online test series of any big coaching institute like Allen and appear for their online stimulated tests. You will get to know your national rankings and where you stand all over India. They will also give you a real test like feeling.

Never ever forget to resolve a doubt. If you have a question you can't solve, mark it down and ask your teacher. Get your doubts clear in every day or two.

Take a healthy diet and take your health seriously. The last thing you would want now is to get ill and lose time for preparation.

Sleep is probably the most important and most ignored aspect of preparation. Never and never sacrifice your sleep. Your brain needs  rest to function properly and sleep is actually known to improve memory and grasping function of your brain.

Occasionally meet and talk with your friends. It will help you keep your mind stress free and happy.

While going through final course revision, write down the important formulaes that you have had forgotten at times. Stick them on your cupboard or on your bed wall. You won't forget them ever again.

And lastly know, that all you have to do is to give your best shot. The results will take care of themselves.

And if you ever need more help, we all are here for you.

My best wishes for your future and upcoming exams.

Hey

don’t worry

studying for NEET can be quite stressful

I have been there soI’ll share from my own experience

you cannot study the whole day & so break s should be a part of your daily routine

you should wake up early in the morning & meditate for sometime or do some physical exercise in order to stay fit & calm

mornings are best to do concept based topics so do physics in the morning

take a break

do biology because every PCB student considers biology as there strong point

solve mcq NEET is all about making the preparation interesting & learning a fun process

make up charts to learn examples in biology

coming to chemistry

organic chemistry should be done properly

in order to memorise reactions write them down on a charts keep on writing all reactions you learn & pin it up

inorganic should be done from Ncert only

don’t study too much at night

take complete rest for 8 hours and 2 months before the exam start your complete revision & mock tests.

give your self less topics but they should be done properly

don’t study under any burden of expectations but study for yourself & the feeling you’ll get when you wear the white coat to college everyday before your name the feeling of being called Dr. & ofcourse the respect you’ll get . It’s a difficult journey that can be made easy with patience & intelligent study

the destination is beatiful.

good luck

Hii sushila

I can understand your situation as it is not easy to prepare for any entrance exam but to   get a good life ahead you need to work hard so the first thing you should keep in your mind that you have to stay positive and have a firm determination that I can achieve anything in my life.you should start your day with meditation and yoga as it will help you to remain calm and stress free, make it a habit to do meditation in the morning for atleast 10 minutes. The main aim of doing all this is that it will increase your concentration power as it is not the duration that counts but it is the concentration in studies which really matters.if you are concentrated in doing some work then you will be able to do it in the less amount of time and it is the concentration that will help you to achieve your goals. As we know that it is difficult to concentrate for long hours while studying so to build that concentration power you have to remain stress free and motivated. As you will start doing meditation daily then after few days you will start feeling the change in you.As these things might be funny for young generation but it is the reality that if you start doing these things you will surely get a result in your day to day life so if you want to be successful in life then you should start doing it.

Now the most important part to crack neet exam is to have a proper schedule so to get success in any exam, you need to have a proper schedule to follow so here are some points which should be followed during preparation-

1) divide your day into 4 halfs and each half should be of 3 hours atleast, first half for physics, second half for biology, third half for chemistry and fourth half should be for solving objectives

2) always study physics in the morning as you will be fresh in the morning so it will be easy for you to concentrate on it.As you know that every medical aspirant find it difficult so make sure you make it a plus point for you.

3) your main focus should remain on NCERT textbook as most of the questions are asked from it so make sure you go through your NCERT textbooks thoroughly as it will help you to build your basics strong

4) opt any one reference book for each subject for solving objectives like for physics you can opt universal publication,dc Pandey,Allen module, for biology you can opt trueman of biology,MTG,Allen module, Pradeep publication, for chemistry you can opt Dinesh objective,op Tandon,Allen module,ABC publication.Don't try to opt too many reference book as it will only confuse you so make sure you solve one reference book for each subject multiple times

5) solve previous year question papers because sometimes questions are repeated as it is and it will also give you the idea that how the questions are being framed from each subject

6) join any test series so that you get familiar with the pattern and can Manage your time as time management is the most important thing because if you can't manage your time properly then there is no use of studying

7) last and the most important thing not to get distracted from your goal as this your very crucial time so if you feel that your getting distracted then try to watch some motivational videos or meditate as so will bring down your stress level.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you
