Sir between BA with honors in English and Integrated LLB,which one has a more promising career?
Hello Dikshita.
As you have asked between two different courses.Let me first tell you in detail about these courses.
In case of integrated course, a student has the opportunity to cover two courses under one academic program. Since there are two courses combined, it is called an Integrated course. Some examples of Integrated Law course programs are- B.A. L.L.B. (Combination of Bachelor of Arts and Law programs), B.Com. L.L.B. (Combination of Bachelor of Commerce and Law programs), B.Sc. L.L.B. (Combination of B.Sc. and Law programs) etc.
The very first advantage is that this course can be pursued right after 12th standard. One doesn’t have to go through Graduation Degree before venturing into ‘Law’ sector. Especially for students who are interested in studying law, this program is the best way to get started!
Then comes the Degree part. Within one program, you are set to chase two Degrees! So, after completing the program, you will have to Degrees in your hand!
There are numerous courses that Graduates may pursue after completing their Integrated Law program. The most common course that folks choose is- LL.M. (Master of Law course). The duration of LL.M. course was earlier 2 years. But not, it is just a 1 year long program. Other than that, students may also go for business oriented courses such as M.B.A., M.B.L. (Master of Business Laws) etc. If you are interested in studying abroad, there are interesting Integrated PG programs like- M.Sc. LL.M., M.B.A. LL.M. etc, offered by good Institutes
Regarding Job opportunities are available in ample amounts. After graduation, one may enroll with the Bar Council of India and start working as an Advocate, taking cases and representing people at courts, charging them fees for your service. Also, one may join good Law firms and start working there. The best step to start off is by working under established lawyers and learning tricks of the trade and gaining experience in the process. With time, after gaining experience, one may move on and start private practice.
Government sector also offers plenty of job opportunities for Law graduates. Law graduates are eligible to apply for number of Government job posts. If you are really talented, you may even make it to reputed posts, such as that of a Judge! But yeah, it sure takes much time and effort before you may land such kind of post! Some of the govt post job are:Criminal Lawyer,Corporate Lawyer,Legal Consultant,Labor and Employment Lawyer,Lawyer working for the Government,Judge,NGO worker/Social Activist,Family Case Lawyer,Property Lawyer
