No, admission to BEd program in IGNOU is done through entrance test only which is conducted twice a year, and you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria which is as follows

• Passed graduation/post-graduation in the discipline of commerce/humanities/social science/science securing 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam, those having completed BTech/BE with specialization in Maths and Science securing 55% aggregate are too eligible to apply
• Candidates need to be trained in-service teacher in elementary education or completed NCTE approved teacher education program through face to face mode

The entrance test of IGNOU BEd is conducted by NTA for a duration of two hours in English and Hindi with two parts, Part A has General English Comprehension. Educational and General Awareness, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Teaching-Learning and The School, Part B consists of subject competence amongst english/hindi/social science/science/mathematics.
