Selection is largely CAT based screening and at PI stage - a written test, psychometric test and personal interview is taken. CAT is used for shortlisting of the candidates. It has minimal weightage in the overall assessment.

As you are expecting 95 percentile in CAT exam so I will recommend you to also look for some other good colleges where you have a pretty good chance of getting admission like new IIMs, MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain, IITs etc.

Last year the cutoff was around 88 percentile
Candidates who have appeared for the CAT 2017 examination or furnished valid GMAT score and have applied to IMI, New Delhi will be shortlisted on the basis of information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, marks in 10th, 12th, graduation and work experience, if any. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process.
As far as selection criteria is concerned, past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Psychometric Test, Personal Interview besides other qualitative parameters, will constitute the core components of the final stage of the selection process so your academic scores could bring your chances down since they are on the lower side.
