Hello,

If your question is specifically directed towards IBPS SO Exam for the post of AFO, then prelims consists of three sections which are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning.

The level of paper pattern in banking is quite high, so the first thing is built the concepts in each sections by going through the following books;

For Reasoning, you can use Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey/Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning by RS Agarwal

For Quantitative Aptitude, you can use Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Exams by RS Agarwal, How to prepare for Quantitative Aptitude for CAT by Arun Sharma.

For English, if your foundation is strong, then go through Objective General English by SP Bakshi, also read The Hindu on a daily basis with special emphasis on the editorial part, if your English isn't good, then learn the basic concepts of Grammar from Wren and Martin, and you can go through Norman Lewis's Word Powe Made Easy,

In the mains, there's test for professional knowledge, in your domain it shall be agriculture, so the best recommended book is Fundamental Of Agriculture by Arun Katyayan, apart from this you need to read newspaper on a daily basis to remain updated regarding latest activities or development in agriculture and its related fields, you can go through magazines like Pratiiyogita Darpan, also do visit the official website of ICAR, NABARD, RBI and those ministries relevant to it, also go through the annual budget, learn about the schemes/any development happening in the domain of agriculture or its allied field.

If you clear that exam then you have to appear for main exam which will be conducted in January 2021. To prepare for quantitative Aptitude, RS Agarwal book is highly recommended. Also, go through previous year papers.
