Candidates who have passed 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a diploma, equivalent thereto, recognised by the state government or Candidates who have passed 3 years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) are eligible to give UPPCL JE. So yes lateral entry students are eligible to give UPPCL JE provided you have electrical engineering in diploma.
