Shruti, cut offs are different for different States. And again in States, the cut offs for Government Medical Colleges is different from the cut offs in Private Medical Colleges. And the cut offs of GMCs is different in All India Counselling and then again in State Counselling. For example, for MBBS/BDS, . Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. For a seat either in MBBS or BDS under All India Counselling, you will need more than 450 atleast. For a seat in AIIMS and JIPMER, you will need more than 575. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. Here few States have higher cut offs than rest of the States. Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, UP and Odisha are few States that have higher cut offs than Tamilnadu, Karnataka, etc. So for Delhi and Bihar you will need more than 500. And for Karnataka and Tamilnadu, even 400 will get you a good GMC. And cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. The final cut off depends on your target college. So over all, if you belong to SC Category, to be on a safer side, you should aim for atleast 500 and above for all courses like MBBS,BDS,BHMS, BAMS, etc.
