You should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (45% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the three subjects taken together.



The candidates should also have obtained individual pass marks (both in theory & practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects mentioned above and with at least 30 % marks in English.

You need to score really well in WBJEE as JU only accept WBJEE marks and not JEE main, and the competition is really high.

For CSE your WBJEE general rank should be less than 180-200. and for IT it should be less than 300.

Jadavpur University is located in Kolkata. It was established in the year 1995.

RANKING: The National Institutional Framework has ranked it 12th among the engineering universities in Inida and ranked 13th among the universities in India. It was ranked 788 in the world by the U.S. News and World Report.

MODE OF ADMISSION:

• Candidate need to give the WBJEE exam.
• Admissions are done through WBJEE.
• Candidates are only elegible who score 60% in thier 12th boards and 40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD candidates.

WBJEE EXAM:

Jadavpur University is one institute which admits students based on thier WBJEE score.

The WBJEE marks and its subsequent rank is:

2. 212 to 200 =  11-50 rank.

3. 199 to 188 = 51-200 rank.

4. 187 to 175 = 201-600 rank.

8. 137 to 125 = 4001-6000 rank.

9. 124 to 100 = 6001-10000 rank.

10. 99 to 75 = 10001-16000 rank.

11. 74 to 63 = 16001-25000 rank

12. 62 to 50 = 25001-35000 rank.

WBJEE PATTERN:

Candidates need to appear for two papers.

Paper-I: Mathematics

Paper-II: Physics and Chemistry

WBJEE is scheduled on May 26 2019.

CUTOFF:

For round 1 couselling the opening rank (OR) and closing rank (CR) for SC candidates are:

• Computer Science Engineering: 104 (OR) and 826 (CR).
• Information Technology: 849 (OR) and 5601 (CR).

Three rounds of conselling are conducted every year.

FEE STRUCTURE:

The institute has the lowest fee sturcture in the country. For the entire four year program the tution fee is INR 24,000.

PLACEMENTS: In the year 2018, 100.00% were placed from computer science branch and 81.25% from information technology.

The highest package offered in computer science went up to INR 42 Lacs per annum and the average package in the same branch was INR 19.96 Lacs per annum.

The highest package offered in information technology went up to INR 39 Lacs per annum and the average package in the same branch was INR 12.34 Lacs per annum.
