There is no such marks which should be sufficient the better you score the better your rank will be and you will get a seat in better university with high placement options.
As for qualifying jee mains, it is the minimum marks required for qualifying the mains and get a chance in jee advanced. Jee mains cutoff are the marks required for admission in various engineering institutes.
The expected qualifying jee mains cutoff of 2021 is
Common rank list (CRL) - 90 to 95
Gen ews - 70 to 75
Schedule caste ( sc) - 50 to 55
But the more you score the better your chances are in getting good universities with the subject of your choice
Try to score above 85 if possible 90 try 110+ marks to get NITS like :
Nit rourkela
Nit tiruchirapalli
Nit calicut
Nit nagpur
Nit bhopal
