It is indeed high time for you to learn programming and coding since you are a pursuing CSE engineer and so to answer your question, there are several programming languages in practice today. In order to master them, you have to first build your basics and develop a strong concept.
Initially, start with learning C Programming language which is a basic yet essential programming language that would greatly help you build your basics. Reference books that you can use for learning are:
- Let Us C by Yashwant Kanetkar.
- Programming in C by E. Balaguruswamy.
Start reading these books and learn to program from them and for practicing coding, you can use the following software:
- Codeblocks.
- Turbo C++.
