Some tips to focus on would be:

1. Focus on developing you practical Computer Science skills - For instance, right after a theoretical class, you will have to apply that knowledge through practical exercises in a computer laboratory.

2.Don't expect to learn everything during courses

3.Start coding early. Get hands on experience with programming as soon as possible. Keep your expectations right. You’ll have to spend a ton of time to learn programming. There is no way around. Don’t give up easily on the initial setbacks you might face.

4.Develop good problem solving skills. Spend good amount of time learning algorithms and data structures. Don’t just read, implement them in whatever language. Keep solving algorithm problems.

5. CGPA also matter's.  do keep a count on it and study well
