Tina, if you appear for NEET, though you are studying your 1st year B.Sc, your 12th aggregate only will be considered. You need to complete your 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40$ for OBC,SC,ST. Your Graduation marks will not be considered. And regarding appearing for the exams, you should appear for the Degree exams because NEET counselling will not start before July or August and by then you will be in your 2nd year. If things do not favour you, atleast you will have a back up degree and you will not pile up your subjects for 2nd year. And your Qualification code will be 05. The Code says that: Candidates who studying in the first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with PCB (that includes practical tests in the given subjects) provided the examination is a University Examination. The candidate also passed their earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.
Hello Tina,
The eligibility criteria for NEET 2020 is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with atleast 60% aggregate (general category) 45% in case if a candidate belongs to PWD Category) 40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates in PCB from a recognised board.
Admission is purely based on the merit in NEET and not percentage which you have secured in degree. You need to have minimum percentage in 10+2 as mentioned above to be eligible to appear for NEET entrance.
