Sir i am a ST category student . i want to crack cat exam .....so is there reserved seat for st category sir?...&.. what should be my percentile to crack cat exam..(for ST)
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, of course. As CAT is a national level entrance exam so it do provides reservation to different categories as prescribed by the Indian Government. For ST category there are 7.5% seats reserved for CAT 2020. But note that you will be only treated of SC if the following details will be mentioned on your Certificate :-
- Name of the caste/tribe.
- Whether the aspirant belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
- District and State or Union Territory of the student’s ordinary residence.
- The appropriate Government of India schedule under which the candidate’s caste/tribe is approved by it as Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
Now coming to cut-off percentile so it is different for different institutes and it is bound to change every year depending upon various factors like difficulty level of question paper, seat availability, reputation of institute and so on.
