Vellore Institute of Technology conducts VITEEE for admission to its campuses at Vellore and Chennai as well as its group Universities at Amravati and Bhopal. If you are seekinh admission to the B.Tech courses in Vellore Institute of Technology, you will have to appear for the entrance exam and qualify it.

Important Dates
1. Application forms are available from October 28, 2018 in both Offline and Online mode.
2. Last date to submit the application form is February 28, 2019
3. Slot Booking will start from Third week of March 2019
4. Admit Cards will also be available from the Third week of March 2019.
5. VIT Exam is scheduled to be conducted from April 10 to 21, 2019
6. Result of the exam will be declared in the last week of April.
7. Counselling for admission is expected to start from the second and third week of May.

Exam Pattern

-Exam will be conducted in Online mode (Computer Based mode)
-125 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam. Each question carries one mark. So, Total Marks of the exam is 125 marks.
- Negative Marking will not be there in the exam.
- Duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes
- Questions in the exam will be asked from four sections. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

Chemistry (40 Questions)
Mathematics/Biology (40 Questions)
English (5 Questions)

Syllabus
VITEEE Syllabus will be based on Class 11 and Class 12. Candidates should prepare well the syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12 for the entrance exam.
Some of the topics are
Physics- Electrostatics, Optics, Current Electricity, Oscillation and Waves, Waves, Mechanics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Semi-Conductor devices, Simple Harmonic Motion, etc.

Mathematics- Permutations & Combinations, Continuity & Differentiability, Quadratic Equations, Determinants, Conic Sections, Matrices in Algebra: Circle, Parabola, Hyperbola in Coordinate Geometry, Coordinate Geometry, etc.

Chemistry- Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, States of Matter, Electrochemistry, Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules, Redox Reactions, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Surface Chemistry, Equilibrium, Purification and Characterisation of Organic Compounds, etc.

VIT University will also be releasing the VITEEE Mock test for practice of students. Mock Test will be the replica of the exam.
