Sir I am avijit from medipur , I am want to know about the placement rating in your college in the cse engineering stream .

I'm from NIT Raipur.

Last year, the placement in CSE department was roughly 80%. Although this year, it's gotten even better.

The average package offered is somewhere around 7 lpa.

Last year, the placements offered were average in the core branch about 43%. But excellent in chemical, food, and biotechnology. But good in CSE, it about 67% last year. The average salary offered was 4 lacs per annum. The companies Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Bengal tools, and Skipper visited. The companies from local Haldia like Haldia dock, Exide, nestle, and Bisk farm also visited the campus.

I think there are fluctuations in CSE department Better to try another department or another college*.

As far my knowledge.. These branches have very positive placement among all other branches. Especially CSE & IT branches has very good placement. In ECE branch there is big scope in both software as well as core companies. For me this branch is evergreen branch, because you can choose any field.



Now about placement.



First of all it depends upon market according to need,when IT sector has very high demand, almost every students get selected.

Its all about depend on your presence of mind,sometimes u know everything but u can't explain.

Finally,it depends on how much company approaches in ur college.

Regarding placement in hit college

It is one of most reputed college of MAKUT university. Every year so many software company used to visit such TCS,Infosys. So don't worry about placement especially in hit definitely u will get job. But just be attentive..

As compared to other colleges of west Bengal,the scenario is much better(except 1 0r 2 other private colleges).You would get chance to appear in Mass IT recruiter companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO. Recently from last 2 years TECH-Mahindra is also visiting.The average placement from all the branches combined is approx 200250.Apart from that you would get opportunities for pool Campussing.



Overall you can call its the placement ratio is average.College Administration have to work a lot to increase the placement so as to maintain the name of HIT.Freshers enrolling in this college have lot of faith that they would be placed from here but the things are not like that.Really you have to work hard(you have to be smart too..) to get campus placement because the opportunities are less.



The good part is you would get a good network of HIT Alumni and friends who would be there to help you in shaping your future.

Every Year only one of them(or two if u guys r lucky) comes for the campus recruitment .The final selection by them varies b/w 120-150 which includes students from all department.There are some small/local company which used to visit the campus ,but they worth nothing(Good for Survival).



Before 2010 the scenario was different ,i think almost every student of CSE/IT used to get a job form the

Campus.And the mass recruiter were TCS nd CTS.
