Sir i am badly confused about btech biotechnology and bsc agriculture sir plz help me which one is better scope in future ?
At the end what is your aim out of doing the course matters?
BSc is the best path if your aim is to be in the research or academic field because the course is more focused in Pure Biology. Plus (Bsc+Msc takes 5 years) so the 6th year you can join for Ph.D.
BTech is best if your aim is to get an industrial job because when you go to engineering college most probably the only department with Biology involved will be biotech in the entire college. And engineering course is a mix of different courses, the initial year you will learn (Mech - ECE -Civil etc) but later it will be more of equipping your industrial knowledge in the last semesters it will be a mix of Biotech and Chemistry. Plus (Btech+ Mtech takes 6years) so only in 7th year you can join for Ph.D.
In Biotechnology with initial bachelor's degree is just a basic knowledge so it is must to do a masters. If you want to continue in the field irrespective of Bsc or Btech.
All the best!
hi ansh,
Both the branches are emerging and in high demand due to environmental issues.
When you look up in job aspects, then please leave that thought because getting job in core company is next to impossible. These core companies prefer individuals with masters.
I must tell you that, B-Sc agriculture would just provide you knowledge in terms of hormones, functions and advantages obtained from trees and plants. Whereas B.tech biotechnology would allow you to have access of different fields such as animal biotech, plant biotech, marine biotech, bioprocessing, industrial biotech, and many other fields.
Hope these are helpful
