Hi aspirant,
Since you are a biology student there is no chance of you getting a seat in mechanical engineering unless you repeat a year in 12 but it is also not possible since it will waste a lot of your time. But since you want to study maths you may have other options -
1) there is a slight chance you can. In VIT there is a course CSE(spl.Bioinformatics). Basically computer science. (Don't mess with this course if you don't have any idea about CS) They will coach you for a month before the first semester. But, there are only 100 seats. If you can't rank under 7000 or lower than that. SO, all you got do is get good rank in that and attend the exam in first 2 days a luck charm.
2)
NIIT University's 4 year Integrated M.Sc Computer Science programme is a unique for PCB Students without maths. To enable students to cope with the rigor of the Computer Science discipline which rests heavily on mathematics, they are expected to undergo a carefully designed Bridge Programme in Mathematics. The Bridge Programme is spread across the first two semesters of the M.Sc Programme. The students at the end of the programme would sit in placement along with B.Tech CSE students and can expect similiar placements. Referhttps://www.niituniversity.in/programmes/m-sc-cs for more details
Hope this helps.
