If you have failed in a class,it basically means you have to repeat it to get through it.This implies that you do need to appear again in whichever exams you have already appeared if you are doing regular schooling.

This was the case of re-admission.

Now,if you are just applying for the improvement exam,then you do not need to give your practical exams again.
