With a rank of 19,434 in the general category, it becomes difficult to procure a seat in the government IHM's when comparing the results of previous years in first round. Last year, the central to IHM's closed with a rank of 9,000 and state government IHM's closed with a rank of 13,000. These are for the first round. If possible you may get in the second or final call. Else, apply for private institutes. Also,  one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
