Dear Varshini, if you are currently in 11th, for you to get into medical stream, you need to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as your subjects until 12th. Once you are in your 12th, you will have to apply for NEET UG exam and based on your score and the reservation category, you are assigned a rank. This rank allows you to appear for counselling of Medical and Dental seats across India.tBased on certain criteria like 85% state quota and 15% All India quota, you need certain marks to get a seat in a Medical College. If you get a seat, congratulations and you have entered the world of Medicine. However if you haven't been able to secure a seat, you have other options as well.

1.You can attempt entrance tests like JIPMER and AIMS which dont fill their seats through NEET.

2. Reattempt NEET the next year while pursuing your Degree course.

3. Join other courses like B.P.T, etc which is also gaining its momentum. I graduate in Physiotherapy and I can vouch for that.

If you need more inform!ation, do let me know. Good luck!

Dear Varshini, make sure are thorough with your class subjects. The chances that you are asked questions out of the syllabus are very rare. To add on, make sure you try attempting atleast one previous question paper every week. Its not necessary that you should know all the answers but try answering as many as you can. May be the 1st week you will only get 5 right answers cos you are still in your 11th standard. But as weeks go by and you learn your syllabus in the school, you will be able to answer more questions. It will also help you practise time management as you have a set time to complete your NEET exam. More importantly take breaks on Sundays and try concentrating on practising the previous papers. It will build your confidence. And dont panic when you see your friends attending the coaching classes and you are not. You can learn it on your own and prepare on your own. Good luck!
