Dear Aspirant,
Aligarh Muslim University is a renowned university which has constantly drawn students from all parts of India. It has a NAAC A accreditation and has been ranked in the highest centres of education in the country time and again. The library of AMU Maulana Azad is world-famous for its invaluable and rare collections and manuscripts. The reserves and archives are amazing and the faculty is also one of the best in the country.
AMU has two courses- B.A. L.L.B. and B.A. L.L.B. Honours.
B.A. L.L.B.
This course is 5 year full-time course with 120 seats. The eligibility criteria states that the candidate must not be over the age of 22 years on 1st July in the year od admission. The candidate should have passed in 10+2 exam or HSC or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of not less than 50% of the total marks. If you are doing a bridge course (for Graduates of Deeni Madaris) from AMU, you can do it with 50% marks in aggregate.
B.A. L.L.B. (Honours)
This has 60 seats and has also been approved by BCI. Seeking admission into 5-year law course only 10th and 12th qualification suffices with 10th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into the 5-year law course. The qualifications of 10th and 12th may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method) and the Pass percentage is 45% for general category, 42% for OBC category, and 40% for SC/ST category.
Hope this helps. All the best!
