So, yes you can do the diploma and degree at a same time there is no problem with that but it depends upon you whether you will be able to manage the both things or not.  And I would also like to tell that the UGC has modified the rules. . You can do the diploma and degree at a same time but with different means for example if you want to do BSC so you can take the admission in the BSC course in regular mode than you'll have to do your diploma through the distance mode and vice versa. According to the new rules if you want to study two courses at the same time, one has to be true distance education and one has to be true regular mode.

Hope you are doing great ! Yes you can do both the things but one thing should be from distance mode and one should be from regular once only then they will be valid otherwise not ,also discuss this thing with your concerned authorities for avoiding some problem in future.
