Dear Saksham, Jammu and Kashmir doesn't participate in All India Quota counselling which means someone as a resident of Maharashtra or Karnataka cannot participate in the State quota counselling of Jammu and Kashmir. But because Maharashtra and Karnataka participate in both All India and State quotas you can participate in their All India Quota  of 15% but not 85% State Quota. For that you need to furnish a self declaration form.

Thank you Priyaanka. As you said I can participate for 15% all India quota in Karnataka and Maharashtra, what type of declaration is required? Will it be for Govt. Medical colleges or private colleges only? Please clarify.
