Hey Alok!

For getting enrolled in the course of B.A.(Honours) Philosophy in University of Delhi (DU), no percentage deduction will be done if the candidate has not studied Philosophy in their 10+2. Earlier there used to be deductions but now no deduction for not studying philosophy in 12th class. So, you can calculate your best 4 percentage without facing deduction for not having studied philosophy before. But, keep in mind that you may be subjected to deductions in your best four percentage if you don't don't fulfil other criteria's such as choosing of subjects from the list A and B. For example, if you add physical education or music in your best of four for courses that are not associated with these subjects then you may be subjected to a deduction of 2.5%.

Although you will have to calculate your best of four percentage while when you apply for colleges while admission, but still you can know the format of calculation of best of four percentage for the purpose of DU admission. Below provided is the link for how to calculate best of 4 percentage.

Delhi University's admissions procedure began on August 2 and will go till October 1. Accepting students who do not meet the DU cut off is against the rules of the institution. The DU cutoff marks are rigidly enforced at Delhi University, and as a result, students are awarded admission to 64 DU-affiliated institutions every year. All candidates who seek to obtain a place in one of the participating institutions by following the DU admission 2021 procedure for merit-based undergraduate programmes should be familiar with the calculation method for Delhi University's 'best of four.'. Additionally, candidates must know the DU cut-off 2021 for their desired institution as well as the DU fee 2021 for various degrees given by associated colleges in addition to the DU best of four computations.
