Sir i am studying in class 12th medical but not academically very well. Plzz tell me min. Marks should score in neet for mbbs.
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Do not aim for the minimum marks in NEET ,u should concentrate on getting ur subjects strong.U should be knowing every noook and corner of ur biology NCERT.also try to solve many problems from other subjects.
For chemistry it's same as your academic portion so just you need to study deeply..
For physics i will recommed you to solve universal self scorer..solve it max time
Your minimum should be 560 in neet
For you should have a strong grip on bio
Don't worry at all! It's completely possible to get a good college with the right about of preparation.
Focus on the subject of your strenght. Biology is generally scoring, and is worth 360 marks so study the NCERT Books thoroughly.
If physics is your weak point, try to attempt the easy questions and do not waste time on the difficult ones.
Depending on the cutoffs, even a score of 200 is sufficient to get a college. However, at least 350 to 400 is recommended for a good one.
Hope this helps!
I I would like to talk about TIME (as you said that you are not academically well) so try to complete your 2nd year syllabus as quickly as possible followed by 1st year. See you need to focus on biology part more as it has around 360 marks. If you have problem with regards to remebering biology use this simple tricks. Read a particular topic and try to bits on that particular topic and you know how much you remember. If you don't remember or put a wrong answer try to refer it and mark that bit and redo it on a couple of days.
For physics do the 2nd year subjects as they are relatively easy followed 1st year. For chemistry except the physical chemistry everything can done by remembering. Do follow the same technique of biology. Plan your time effectively and try to complete your syallabus and keep the target to reach 450+ in mock tests followed by increase your score.
There is no short cut to success, only way is hard work and determination.
Feel free to ask anything. Happy to guide you.
Thanks for asking
Don't do any other book before u complete this....
Than u can do the standard mcq books of ur choice.....
Don't indulge in doing too many things.
Do one thing but do it properly.....Ncert books are the base so if u do it thoroughly also u will be able to do it nicely in exams...and yeah keep an aim of 500 but don't get depressed if u get less.....check ur mistakes make sure u don't make it again and continuing working hard for ur aim and u will definitely succeed
As of now, there is nothing announced for NEET 2018 cut off but according to previous year cut off to get admission under state quota better to get 500 or above and for AIQ 560 or above should be there as this would be the safest score to reserve seat in Govt medical colleges and if you wish to get admission in private colleges then admission can be possible with 400 or above marks. So plan and prepare very hard so that you can easily get admission in your desired college.
Apart from this, you can follow below provided preparation tips as these would be helping you to crack the exam with decent score -
Know the syllabus -
The first thing which you need to know is the complete syllabus and accordingly prepare.
Important topics
- Physics – Optics, Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics, Chemistry – General Organic Chemistry, Mole Concept, Periodic Table, Coordination Chemistry, Chemical Bonding. Biology – Genetics, Ecology & Environment, Cell Biology, Morphology, Basics of Biotechnology, Reproduction, Physiology of Animals & Plants.
Good Study Material -
The most important element to prepare for any exam is good study materials as better to choose the standard preparation material.
Create a time table as per your schedule -
Get a calendar and a diary, set your priorities, set out long study hours. Take care of your health. Don’t sleep during study time.
Practice NEET sample papers and previous year’s question paper -
All NEET aspirants should do practice on sample and previous years papers as these would be helping them to know the important questions.
Prepare notes -
The best way to improve memory skills is to prepare notes while studying. Candidates should write down all the important notes in a copy or diary which can be useful for revision before the examination and save a lot of time for them.
Online mocks -
It would be better if you complete your syllabus till December and keep Jan-Feb for your sample papers and previous year papers and once you are done with these, start doing online mocks because these will be showing you all your weak areas along with actual paper pattern and accordingly you can practice again and this will also teach you time management skill during exam.
Also, keep one thing in your mind during your preparation -
"Only you can change your life. No one can do it for you"
Good Luck!!!!
