Sir I applied pgcet 2019,but my aggregate for 2nd year is 51%but 3rd Sem aggregate is 48%.I am eligible for pgcet or not.

Hello Yashaswini,

The eligibility critirea for pgcet depends on the course and since you haven't mentioned any I will just give you a brief on all the courses. I hope it is useful.

1. For the MBA programme (Full Time)

> The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

> The candidate should have a minimum aggregate ofof 50% marks all the subjects taken together in all years and this is for the general category. If ST/SC and category-I of Karnataka, qualifying marks will be 45%.

2. For MBA programme (Part Time)

Applications for Admissions are open.

> The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

> The candidate should have a minimum aggregate ofof 50% marks all the subjects taken together in all years and this is for the general category. If ST/SC and category-I of Karnataka, qualifying marks will be 45%.

> Work Experience- The candidate should have work experience in a well established organisation. also the workplace has to be within the radius of 40 km from the applied institution.the work experience can't be less than 3 years as on 31st of july 2019.

3. For MCA programme

> The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.

> The candidate should have a minimum aggregate ofof 50% marks all the subjects taken together in all years and this is for the general category. If ST/SC and category-I of Karnataka, qualifying marks will be 45%.

> Subjects qualifying- The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree with Mathematics or computer science or Statistics or Computer programming or Computer applications or Business Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.

4. For M. Tech/M,E/M.Arch Programme (Full Time)

> The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration or equivalent prescribed by authority.

> The candidate should have a minimum aggregate ofof 50% marks all the subjects taken together in all years and this is for the general category. If ST/SC and category-I of Karnataka, qualifying marks will be 45%.

> Candidates with valid GATE acore can be eligible too.

5. For M.Tech/M.E/M.Arch Programme (Part Time)

> The candidate should pass the bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration or equivalent prescribed by authority.

> The candidate should have a minimum aggregate ofof 50% marks all the subjects taken together in all years and this is for the general category. If ST/SC and category-I of Karnataka, qualifying marks will be 45%.

Thank u 4 ur ans. my course is m.tech.every year I am having more than 50%aggregate.in 3rd sem i am having 48% but 2nd year aggregate is 51%.I want to know pgcet consider every semester aggregte or every year aggregat

It considers your score of all the years together and not separately for each semester or year.

No,in pgcet brochure they specified every semester/year agregate must be 50%.

I'm afraid you happen to be mistaken but in the broucher it is clearly mentioned "marks of all the subjects in all the years taken altogether" and they have also given how to calculate the aggregate marks.Please go through the broucher once more clearly so that you don't have any misunderstanding. https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/
