Hello Shivani!

Due to TWO attempts in JEE MAINS this year, the competition has became tougher as compared to all the previous JEE exams. Students have done well in at least one of them and that has raised the RANK vs. MARKS scale high above.

Getting a seat in NIT is tough if we consider previous year trends. You may have to wait till the end of counselling process or maybe till spot counselling(by CSAB) to get NITs.

Hope that helps!

That is the reason dear. Last year, students didn't got chance to rectify their mistake and score well as there was only 1 attempt. This year two attempts were there which made things easy. Also those students who are having a tie in Percentile are given rank based upon their score in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. If your score in Maths is high then your rank will be good as compared to the person having similar percentile.
Hope it made things clear!

Yup all clear Thank you sir But still I'm dissappointed with the percentile system. As I'm a dropper student I was in need of a good rank.
