Hi Omkar,
The eligibility criteria for admission into any college (private or government) to pursue B.sc nursing is that the candidate should score an average of 45% marks in PCB + English in his/her 12th board exam from any recognized institute.
So, the individual percentage of each subject need not be considered. Add up all the marks you have got in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English & divide it by 400 which is the total full marks, your answer should then be multiplied by 100% & then if the resulting value is equal to 45% or more then you are qualified for applying in any college for B.sc nursing.
eg:
Suppose you have scored Physics= 50/100; Biology= 70/100; Chemistry = 60/100; English= 90/100
so, your total is 50+70+60+90= 270. You have scored 270/400 = 0.675. Now 0.675*100% = 67.5% which is more than 45% so the candidate is qualified.
Do not consider individual percentage scores like you are saying that you have scored 50% in English. Take all the marks of 4 subjects & then calculate the percentage. Also, do not add the percentage scores of each subject . Add the marks you have got out of 100 to get the correct answer.
Hope this helps.
