For the general category students, to get into NITs it is compulsory to get 75% aggregate in class 12. You are eligible for NSITs. The class 12 aggregate is calculated on the basis of the following subjects-

Physics

Chemistry

Mathematics

A language ( if you have 2, the one with the highest marks will be considered)

Another subject other than the top 4( subject with the best marks among the rest of the subject)

You are eligible for IITs, NITs and NSITs if you belong to the Sc,ST or PWD categories.
