I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.9 percentile to get a call for the next round.
All the best!
Hi Monty,
Your academic scores make you eligible to apply for CAT exam. The CAT cutoff for older IIMs such as IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Bangalore, is very high (90 percentile and above). The same goes for FMS, MDI, SPJIMR, and other top B-schools in India. Newer IIMs such as IIM Jammu, Sirmaur, Sambalpur, Nagpur etc (85 percentile and above). have relatively less cutoff for the admission process.
If you score well in the CAT exam, you will be shortlisted for the admission process at top B-schools. During the selection process, you will appear for GD, Writing Test and PI rounds. Your academic scores and work experience will also be considered before you get the final admission offer.
