the one major step you can take is attempting the ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test) . if you qualify the exam you will be eligible for the lateral entry to any of the engineering college . the course will be of three years so you will get a degree of equivalent to B.Tech . so your future will be bright . All the best for your future .

The only other way is you go work in some industries with your diploma certificate .But I suggest btech will be good after diploma .without b.tech  you will have minimum chances for jobs
